Find a quiet comfortable seat or lying position, where you will not be disturbed. We’re going to step the breath 3 times. So on your inhale, you pause 3 times. To begin…

Exhale all the air out of your lungs. Then inhale a little, pause. Inhale a little more, pause. Inhale to the top of your breath, pause. Now fully exhale. Do this 6 times. Notice the effects. If you’re still feeling a little anxious or in your head, use the exact same breathing process but on your exhale. So inhale fully, then exhale a little and pause, ect. 

The reason we train our breath is because the more we can begin to exert control over the finer details of the breathing process, the more possible it then becomes to control the finer details of the mental process.

By training the breath, we in turn, train the mind.
